A ‘radical’ new app which the creators hope will revolutionise the way people find dates has hit the App Store and is now available to download.
Pure, as the app is called, uses your phone’s GPS to locate prospective ‘partners’ within the local vicinity, with customers matched solely on their sexual preferences and their ability to either host or travel.
A fee has to be paid to allow access to the service, such as 12 hours or 24 hours, and users can browse nearby members and select those who they find suitable by pressing ‘yes’ or ‘no way’ if unsuitable.
The creators say that it has been designed to be used by anyone who is looking for an immediate date. Those using the app will be able to see everyone who is in their area, wanting the same thing as they are, and looking for a date right now. By adding a line about what they are looking for, members can indicate what they want from the date, be it dinner, a night out at a local bar, or anything.
Some features that Pure touts are self-destroying, time limited 1 hour requests, moderation through confidential, mandatory user feedback, and the fact that users only ever see people who want the same things as them, are nearby and are looking to meet right now.
"One of Pure’s main aims is to allow members to be able to find a date easily, simply and right now, spending less time using their gadgets and being ‘digital’, and more time interacting with others offline," said GetPure, the company behind the app.
"Pure is about giving men and women freedom and choice. It can be as romantic or as practical as its users choose to make it. PURE is the application that people have dreamed of, but never dared ask for. PURE is anonymous, non-judgmental, liberating and has been designed to be used by anyone, regardless of sexual orientation."
