Under this contract, Planned Systems International (PSI) will be designing and developing the next generation of the clinical data mart (CDM), a set of patient-centric data from the Military Health System (MHS) clinical data repository supporting the department of defense’s longitudinal electronic health record.
CDM enables analysts and healthcare professionals to measure, analyze, and manage performance of patient care, wellness, prevention, and disease management with the goal of improving the quality of care delivered.
To that end, PSI will be working with the MHS to design and develop a new CDM logical and physical data model to support complex clinical ad hoc queries though an on line analytical processing (OLAP) environment.
PSI will also be developing and implementing a standards-based portal and identity management solution to support such requirements as non-AHLTA user access to the CDM for such things as traumatic brain injury/psychological health surveillance. Additionally, PSI will be modifying the web-based business intelligence reporting to BOXIr2 web intelligence capability.
Gerald Pizer, COO of healthcare IT solutions at PSI, said: We are proud to continue our partnership with the MHS in their mission to optimize the delivery of healthcare and support readiness. We look forward to supporting the emerging needs of our customer in the years to come.
