PrismTech, a provider of software integration and infrastructure services, has partnered with Nextel Engineering Systems, a Spanish systems integrator providing offerings to the defence, aerospace, security and transport sectors, to deliver real-time data management offerings. As part of its software and services offerings, Nextel will deliver and support PrismTech’s suite of middleware products.

According to PrismTech, the focus will be on OpenSplice DDS, a real-time publish/subscribe middleware that enables quality-of-service enabled service oriented architecture and net-centric applications. The OpenSplice DDS’s basic kernel is available under open source licensing that include both professional support and value-adding features and tools.

The company said that the OpenSplice DSS offers the ability to provide low-latency, high-throughput data dissemination across distributed systems. The OpenSplice application can add to performance critical systems in other vertical markets such as financial services, manufacturing, transportation, and telecommunications.

Rafael Castillo, managing director of Nextel Engineering, said: “We are extremely pleased to be able to work with PrismTech. OpenSplice DDS, OpenFusion and Xtradyne are a perfect complement to our software and services. The combination of PrismTech hi-tech and Nextel Engineering solutions will give our customers the competitive advantage they need to truly implement information superiority and make the shift to interoperable network-centric environments.”
