Platform Computing has released new version of Platform HPC, a high performance computing (HPC) management product that is designed to enable technical application users harness the power and scalability of HPC clusters.
The company said the new version is based on the workload scheduler, Platform LSF, and features cluster provisioning, workload management, reporting and monitoring, MPI libraries and more, all of which are accessible via a Web user interface.
The cluster software offering’s Web user interface simplifies the application integration process and cluster configuration.
The offering enables HPC users to deploy, run and manage their HPC clusters while meeting the requirements for application performance and predictable workload management.
According to Platform Computing, new enhancements to Platform HPC include: application support, including job submission templates for commonly used commercial applications and scripting guidelines for job submission; GPU job scheduling and expanded GPU monitoring capabilities including ECC error detection; enhanced design of the Web-based user interface; and expanded operating system support.
Target vertical industries for Platform HPC include manufacturing, oil and gas, energy, life sciences, media/digital content creation, higher education and research and government.
Platform Computing vice president of business development Tripp Purvis said with Platform HPC they are removing the complexity and cost of implementing HPC cluster solutions.
