PineApp, a security services provider for IT, has introduced a new email security and archiving service combined in one product MASA.

PineApp said that MASA is designed to help SOHO and SMBs manage, secure and archive their email data in a cost effective manner. It performs three functions, email security, email archiving and email management.

In addition, the new offering also includes a security function that provides complete virus and spam protection and benefits midsized organisations without the burden of maintaining two separate servers and allows organisations to consume less space and power.

According to PineApp, the MASA supplies organisations a set of tools to cope with their email archiving needs and enhances archiving efficiency by providing a indexing mechanism and a data compression tool. It also provides a set of management tools, which allow system administrators, postmasters and end users to design policy enforcement measures.

Hezi Erez, CEO of PineApp, said: “Keeping our customers’ needs in mind, we developed the MASA solution, which not only saves substantial IT costs, but also enables them to comply with the Sarbanes Oxley act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley act and the Freedom of information act. In addition, by applying advanced in-process compression and a single instance file storage, MASA reduces storage requirements by up to 75%.”
