The Activ8 software enables employers to send their sales team information such as product updates, comparative data between the firm’s and its competitors’ products/services, and details of sales incentives. The sales personnel can store customer data, including sales made and customer profiles.

The software eliminates the need for sales personnel to come to the office to receive formal training in product updates, regulatory and compliance issues.

PHM says that its new product has already received interest from motor manufacturers in Europe. Activ8 is primarily targeted at industry sectors which have dispersed and mobile sales forces, such as the retail motor industry, pharmaceutical and financial services sectors. The pilot of Activ8 is currently being run in the UK.

Salesforce.com, Sage Software, Oracle, Netsuite, Microsoft and Maximizer Software also provide software that enables sales staff to access information on mobile phones.
