PGi, a provider of virtual meetings, has introduced GlobalMeet, a cloud-based web conferencing offering.

The cloud-based GlobalMeet offering is delivered through the browser, with no software downloads required for meeting guests.

The offering allows users to schedule start and manage meetings from their desktop with GlobalMeet’s add-in for Outlook.

In addition, the GlobalMeet’s convenient auto-connect feature makes dial-in numbers, passcodes and long URLs redundant.

Through GlobalMeet users can move from an audio call to collaborating on the web with the click of a button, share their screen, personalise meetings with webcam video for all participants and connect globally with international support.

PGi founder, chairman and CEO Boland Jones said old school conference calls and frustrating web conferencing services no longer cut it for many businesses.

"People need to get real work done, in real time and GlobalMeet takes the everyday audio meeting online and provides simple, hassle-free and affordable web conferencing for any business," Jones said.
