Panda Security unveils new security device for mid-size, large firms

The new device protects against all types of threats

By CBR Staff Writer

Cloud security company Panda Security has launched a new unified perimeter security appliance targeting mid-size and large enterprise firms which claimed to protect their corporate network and increase productivity.

The device, dubbed Panda GateDefender Performa eSeries, claims to protect against all types of threats and is available in three different versions.

Panda GateDefender Performa eSeries is compatible with virtualisation engines, software only, and five different hardware models designed for organisations of different sizes.

The new app features firewall, intrusion prevention system, anti-malware, content filter, anti-spam, Web filter, VPN, QoS and other connection technologies.

According to the company, the new app manages companies’ perimeter security needs by neutralising viruses, spam and unauthorised access at the Internet gateway via a complete set of resources which use Collective Intelligence technologies.

Panda Security has also released the new Panda Perimeter Management Console which enables centralised and secure management as well as configuration of all appliances on the network from a single location.

In September this year, Panda Security had launched three new antivirus applications, Panda Antivirus Pro 2013, Panda Internet Security 2013 and Panda Global Protection 2013.
