A study commissioned by Kaspersky Lab reveals that 36% of organisations plan to encourage their staff to bring in their own computers and devices to work in the near future. A further 36% say that while they will not actively encourage staff to bring their own devices, they believe that the trend is inevitable.

BYOD was found to be banned more frequently by larger organisations.
12% of companies surveyed said they do not plan to allow personal devices in the workplace anytime soon, but the number dropped to 7% when asked to smaller companies.
Another 19% of companies said that they actually plan to restrict the level of personal device usage in the workplace.
The research suggests that the growth of BYOD means that companies need to implement security measures for the safety of corporate and mobile devices.
"It’s inevitable that in any company, small or large, many employees will use personal devices to connect to the corporate network and access confidential data," said Alexander Erofeev, chief marketing officer at Kasperky Lab. "For employees, it’s natural to use their smartphones and tablets – without even considering the possible dangers."
