Orange Business Services together with Cisco, EMC and VMware have formed a business alliance – Flexible 4 Business, to offer new cloud computing services for enterprises.

Orange said that the new business alliance will help customers transition to cloud computing and gain infrastructure flexibility, cost reduction and business performance optimisation cloud computing enables.

Under the alliance, Orange will be service provider for the new operation and will deliver four types of pay-per-use managed cloud offerings based on new technologies from all the four partners.

The new Flexible 4 Business cloud services portfolio will initially be composed of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offerings, including private cloud and back-up services, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings, including security and unified communications services.

Flexible 4 Business will allow customers to accelerate the deployment of highly secure cloud services across their enterprise while reducing management complexity.

Orange Business Services CEO Vivek Badrinath said that the business alliance will make cloud computing a reachable reality for global enterprises, providing for customers’ security requirements and mitigating complexity of technical migration.
