Oracle unveils new version of real-user monitoring software

Integrated performance diagnostics capabilities to identify and resolve user experience issues

By CBR Staff Writer

Oracle has unveiled Real User Experience Insight 6.0, a real-user monitoring offering for business applications that combines performance and usage analysis into a single offering.

The company said that the Real User Experience Insight integrates with the performance diagnostics capabilities of Enterprise Manager, helping to identify and resolve user experience issues before business is impacted. Integration with Java Diagnostic and SOA management capabilities provides a single vendor offering for diagnosing anomalies from the end-user perspective through to the application, middleware and database.

The new release offers enhanced Accelerators for Siebel CRM, the E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, providing end-user monitoring and service level management for these applications. It integrates enterprise-class performance diagnostics with business dashboards and accelerators, Oracle said.

According to Oracle, features of the new release include, integrated performance diagnostics that provides correlation of user session information with application diagnostic data for resolution workflow; full user session replay that enables organisations to maximise their web application usage and conversions by replaying step-by-step interactions of the end user; customisable monitoring dashboards that provides both IT and business users a single view with actionable intelligence, to help identify trends, patterns and anomalies.

In addition, the new version also includes capabiities such as, integrated intelligence to monitor and support application development framework and WebLogic portal-based applications; security with support for single sign-on to login; key performance indicator (KPI) correlations, which can help identify issues that impact multiple KPIs; and advanced discovery and monitoring of E-Business Suite applications that run in forms socket mode, the company said.

Richard Sarwal, senior vice president of product development at Oracle, said: By providing a complete picture of performance analysis and insight into business trends and user preferences, Oracle Real User Experience 6.0 can accelerate problem resolution for under-performing applications, significantly lower the total cost of ownership and improve the overall customer experience.
