Oracle rolls out Enterprise Single Sign-On Anywhere

Allows customers to streamline access to web-based client server and mainframe enterprise applications

By CBR Staff Writer

Oracle has launched Enterprise Single Sign-On (ESSO) Anywhere service that provides customers identity and access management capabilities.

Oracle said that the ESSO Anywhere, a component of Oracle Identity Management, extends its Enterprise Sign-On Suite and allows enterprises host single tenant ESSO in a private cloud to provide users with secure access to heterogeneous enterprise resources from anywhere, anytime. Oracle Identity Management is a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware.

According to Oracle, the Oracle ESSO Anywhere allows customers to streamline access to web-based, client server and mainframe enterprise applications from anywhere, anytime, eliminating the need to maintain multiple passwords and authentication credentials for each system and application.

The company claims, with Oracle ESSO Anywhere, enterprises can increase operational efficiencies, reduce costs, enhance security, improve user experience and accelerate regulatory compliance.

Oracle ESSO Anywhere enhancements include, a single deployment package for all ESSO software; automatic version control of deployment packages; and automatic updates, patches and rollback, the company said.

In addition, the newly enhanced Oracle ESSO Suite includes several key components such as Oracle ESSO Logon Manager, ESSO Password Reset, ESSO Authentication Manager, ESSO Provisioning Gateway, and ESSO Kiosk Manager.

Amit Jasuja, vice president of Oracle Identity Management, said: “Now, users can just sign on to a web portal page and download and activate the Oracle ESSO Anywhere client that is pre-loaded with authorised credentials for all user entitled resources.
