Oracle has released SOA Governance 11g consisting of Enterprise Repository, Service Registry, SOA Management with Enterprise Manager, and Web Services Manager.
The company said that the new SOA Governance 11g, a component of Fusion Middleware, enables organisations to manage their heterogeneous software project artifacts under a unified governance umbrella. It is fully integrated with SOA Suite 11g suite and AmberPoint, to help simplify governance of software development projects and provide organisations continuity of closed-loop governance processes across both Oracle and third party applications.
According to Oracle, features of SOA Governance 11g include a unified governance for SOA and packaged applications with a single set of lifecycle management processes and tools to simplify and automate management of services originating from packaged applications or other SOA based infrastructure; closed loop metrics from Enterprise Manager that enables Enterprise Repository customers to access performance summary data at design time.
In addition, the new offering provides automatic, closed loop artifact harvesting throughout the SOA Lifecycle, which reduces the risks associated with making decisions based on stale data. It supports Oracle applications including E-Business Suite and Siebel along with its Application Integration Architecture (AIA).
The company said that the new offering embodies Registry Repository support for SOA Suite11g, Service Bus and Business Process Analysis (BPA) Suite that helps reduce tooling complexity; and Business Transaction Management to help organisations diagnose and resolve issues in application performance and business transactions.
