Oracle has introduced its Communications Digital Store for communications service providers (CSPs) to help them enhance their digital content offerings, maximise revenue and reduce customer churn.

The new offering is an end-to-end digital content platform that helps CSPs to manage the complete content lifecycle, spanning content submission, test and approval and storefront management, said the company.

It also helps consumers to discover and purchase a wide range of digital content for a variety of mobile devices.

Oracle Communications Digital Store help CSPs to manage and deploy digital content on multiple devices via easy to use digital stores to equip third-party developers to build new innovative revenue-generating applications and services that leverage CSPs’ unique network assets.

It also helps CSPs to promote digital content through targeted marketing and advertising campaigns utilising location and user profiles.

Oracle Communications Digital Store features advanced content provider portal, centralised warehouse management system that lets CSPs more effectively manage testing and approval for content running on many devices.

The new digital store also features a comprehensive store management system and offers out-of-the-box connectivity with multiple network elements.

Oracle Communications Digital Store Release 6.1’s new enhancements include performance improvements, increased availability leveraging Oracle Real Application Clusters 11g, lower cost deployment on Oracle Linux and support for third-party recommendation engines.

Oracle vice president for products Liam Maxwell said CSPs using the Oracle Communications Digital Store, can help streamline the entire process – from content submission through customer purchase – to provide customers an optimal user experience and grow their revenue streams.
