Opera Software, has introduced its Opera Mini mobile browser on the Galaxy S, the latest Android-platform smartphone from Samsung Electronics.
The company said that Opera Mini is capable of compressing data by up to 90% before sending content to the phone, resulting in faster page loading and improved speed, thereby reducing data load, which translates to lower browsing costs.
Opera Software CEO Lars Boilesen said they were very glad to provide the best mobile Internet experience to Samsung’s Galaxy S users and Opera fans in selected markets, and they also hope that global fans can get the chance in the near future.
The company said Opera Mini is free to use and downloadable from its website.
The Opera’s cross-platform web-browser technology offers performance, standards compliance and small size, while giving users a faster, safer and more dynamic online experience.
Opera Mini already has 76.3 million monthly users worldwide, optimised for more than 3,000 different handsets, the company claims.
