Enterprise content management firm Open Text, has reported revenue of $240.03m for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010, an increase of 18% compared to revenue of $203.4m in Q4 FY09.

Revenue from license grew 9% to $68.5m, compared to $63m for the same period a year ago.

Customer support revenue increased to $129.1m from $104.5m and revenue from service and others increased to $42.4m from $35.9m of the same period last year.

For the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2010, the company posted an operating income of $40.4m, an increase of 17.4% compared to an operating income of $34.4m for the same period last year.

Open Text posted net income of $51.5m, an increase of 164% compared to net income of $19.5m.

The company’s earnings per share increased by 147% to $0.89 from $0.36 per share of the same period the prior year.

For the full year ended 30 June 2010, the company posted revenue of $912m, an increase of 16%, compared to $786m in 2009.

Operating income for the year grew 10% to $107.6m from $97.6m in 2009.

Net income was up 54% to $87.6m from $57m in 2009, while net income per share increased to $1.53 from $1.07.
