Norton has introduced the new version of its Mobile Security application, which claimed to deliver protection for consumers’ mobile needs, including support for iOS devices, contacts backup and an improved user experience.
The new Mobile Security application will help consumers keep their device secure, recover a lost or stolen device and prevent strangers from accessing their information.
Symantec Consumer Business Unit product management vice president Dave Cole said: "With the latest version of Norton Mobile Security, we are making it simple for people to stay protected on whichever device they choose."
The new Norton Mobile Security application now protects a consumer’s multiple devices, including Android smartphones and tablets, as well as iPhones and iPads.
It also saves contacts from a user’s Android or iOS device so that they can be restored if lost or deleted and also contacts can be restored across devices.
Norton’s new release will enable consumers to control the security of their devices from one convenient place on the Web, pinpoints a lost or stolen device on a map and sets off an audible alarm to help consumers find their missing Android mobile device.
