Nokia has been granted an injunction by the Amsterdam district court in the Netherlands, which will prevent HTC from using microphone parts made by STMicroelectronics in its HTC One phones.

The court’s decision follows a claim by the Finnish mobile maker that it invented the parts to use exclusively for its own phones.

Nokia said HTC has no license or authorisation to use these microphones or its technologies from which they have been developed.

The company noted that, HTC claims that its HDR microphone as is a key feature for the HTC One in its marketing material, but Nokia claims that it is a technology, developed exclusively for use in Nokia products.

"Once again, Nokia calls on HTC to compete using its own innovations and to stop copying from Nokia," Nokia added.

Reacting to the court’s decision, HTC said it is disappointed and is considering whether it will have any impact on its business and the company will explore alternative solutions immediately.

The case is one of the cases brought by Nokia to end HTC’s unauthorised use of its inventions.

Nokia said over 40 patents have been asserted against HTC in Germany, the US and the UK.

Earlier this year, a German court dismissed two patent infringement lawsuits filed by Nokia against HTC.

In March this year, Nokia won a patent infringement case against HTC in Germany related to power-saving technology.
