Network Box USA has unveiled three new models of the S-Series family of unified threat management (UTM) appliances targeted to small offices, branch offices and home offices.
According to Network Box, the models S-25, S-35 and S-85 feature gigabit ethernet ports and Intel processors. The S-25 and S-35 models are designed for small offices and branch offices requiring virtual private network, firewall and intrusion prevention functionality and have a gigabyte of random access memory (RAM) and come with a firmware on a 2-gigabyte compact flash.
The company said that the S-25 model is diskless and is engineered for use with a centralised logging server. It has an additional 32 gigabytes of solid state drive (SSD) storage for logs and database. All three S-Series models include five ethernet ports, four 10/100/1000baseTX and one 10/100baseTX and are managed and monitored from the Network Box Global Management System.
The S-85 model features 2 gigabytes of RAM and can be used with UTM+ services for up to 10 users. The device comes with a firmware on a 2-gigabyte compact flash and 32 gigabytes of SSD storage. In addition, it offers all the company’s services and options and comes with Network Box UTM+ and content filtering or anti-virus services, the company said.
