Enterprise business offerings firm NEC and Internet security software firm Webroot have entered into an alliance to develop "NEC Mobile Security Pro," a new mobile device management offering that spans everything from extensive anti-malware measures to a mobile device security layer.

NEC Mobile Security Pro combines the NEC’s Mobile Device Management offering, "NC7000-DM Lite," system integration, customer support experience and cloud infrastructure, while Webroot’ offers its mobile device anti-malware offering, "Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile Premiere."

The new cloud-based integrated security offering in a package enables an all-in-one cloud-based security service for the mobile sector awhile offering a safe and secure business environment.

NEC Mobile Security Pro includes lost device protection and App management functions that help prevent abuse and appeal to business operations with smart mobile devices and it can be deployed faster than existing services at a maintenance-friendly, lower cost.

In addition, the new release also includes anti-virus and anti-malware security functions that protect mobile devices without requiring heavy cpu usage and cloud-based, 280 million function, secure browsing technology prevents access to hazardous sites.

Furthermore, the offering capitalises on NEC’s OMA compliant MDM product line, its cloud infrastructure featuring interconnectivity and its extensive system integration know-how, in combination with Webroot’s highly reliable Endpoint Security product line.
