MuleSoft has introduced Tcat Server 6 R3, the latest release of its enterprise-class web application server based on Apache Tomcat.
The company said that Tcat Server 6 R3 adds support for managing Tomcat 7 beta, and is tightly integrated with Windows services, allows Windows administrators to run and manage Tomcat without being logged into the server.
According to MuleSoft, Tcat Server 6 R3 enables Windows administrators to import and export third party server profiles, streamline user interaction, simplifies diagnostics data, and faster and easier deployment of Tomcat applications.
The company said that the Tcat Server is a enterprise Apache Tomcat web application server with critical features for production deployment, such as server group management, configuration management, application deployment, and performance diagnostics.
In addition, Tcat Server allows IT teams to migrate from legacy platforms such as Oracle WebLogic and IBM WebSphere to the lightweight and open source Tomcat.
Sateesh Narahari, director of product management at Mulesoft, said: "We have had tremendous positive feedback from our customers since the introduction of Tcat Server. With well-recognised organisations such as Equifax and the State of Alaska using Tcat Server, it is quickly becoming the clear leader among Apache Tomcat app servers.
"Tcat Server continues to widen that lead with built-in compatibility for the newest major version of Tomcat, along with a number of other upgrades that make Tcat easier to use, with an even cleaner look and feel."
