MSXI selects ETL as European DMS data collection service partner

To enable dealers to create touch points with customers

By CBR Staff Writer

MSX International, a provider of outsourced business services, has selected ETL, a provider of data integration services, as its European dealer management system data collection and distribution service partner.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will integrate MSX International’s (MSXI) Automotive Business Processing Outsourced (BPO) applications services with ETL’s Transformation Manager automotive framework, which is a web-based system that provides a direct interface to dealer management systems (DMS) in Europe, said MSXI.

MSXI also said that it will use ETL’s data extraction capabilities to access dealer client information such as service records, bookings, parts sales invoices, and new and used car sales information.

According to MSXI, this information will be used to drive its customer lifecycle management programs, which enable dealers to create touch points with customers during the ownership of their vehicles, and create and retain long-term, loyal customers. The data is also expected to be used in conjunction with MSXI’s Dealer – Sustain Service Profits application and training programs to develop dealer personnel and increase service profitability.

Peter Leger, president and CEO of MSXI, said: The ability to access dealer data in an efficient manner is critical to improving the customer experience and dealer profitability. However, integrating original equipment manufacturer dealer networks can be a challenging issue, particularly since the IT infrastructure used by dealers often varies widely.
