Global IT firm Mindtree has signed a contract with SITA, a specialist in air transport communications, which it hopes will provide application support and evolutionary maintenance services for its strategic finance system (SFS).
SITA’s SFS, which is based on Oracle’s eBusiness suite, integrates internal and external financial processing for its network of suppliers, airlines and airports across 200 countries.
Mindtree said it will provide database administration and monitoring, consulting services and maintenance for SFS over three years, which it hopes will improve operational efficiency, as well as application and customisation support.
Krishnakumar Natarajan, MD and CEO at Mindtree, said: "Together, Mindtree and SITA have had a successful relationship for more than seven years.
"We have been operating and supporting SITA’s billing and invoicing systems for more than 5 years and we are excited to be a part of this journey to further enhance SITA’ ability to serve their customers more efficiently,"
Mindtree has also set up a support centre, which is designed to reduce the number of support tickets and delivery time, to help SITA reduce support and operational costs.
