Microsoft has signed a long-term strategic agreement to launch DocuSign’s eSignature apps through Office 365.

The move is hoped to make it easier for Office 365 subscribers to submit and sign documents without closing their Windows applications, and the technology will be available come early March

DocuSign’s new apps built on the Office 365 platform are expected to be integrated within Outlook, Word, SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server 2013.

Microsoft Office Marketing VP John Case said: "This partnership with DocuSign helps our customers keep transactions digital and manage eSignatures seamlessly from within Office 365, where they already communicate, collaborate and create."

DocuSign CEO Keith Krach added: "The combination of Microsoft and DocuSign further helps organisations keep business digital, and leverages the power of the cloud to help them focus on business results."

The integration is expected to offer easy administration and use, single sign-on, secured storage, Office Store availability and continued innovation.
