Microsoft’s cloud storage service OneDrive has increased its free storage plan while dropped the prices of its other storage plans.
Users registered to the free service of OneDrive will now be able to store up to 10GB of data, which was previously limited to 2GB.
The expanded cloud space has been availed to Windows and Mac users, along with mobile apps, and now users will be able to add larger CAD files to the cloud which was previously not possible.
The storage for Microsoft’s corporate oriented Office 365 service has also been upgraded to 1 TB of data.
The company has improved its OneDrive sync service by increasing the number of files that can be uploaded simultaneously on Windows or Mac system.
The company has also introduced "Share a OneDrive link "option which would allow Windows 7 and 8 users to easily find content on their the OneDrive folder, and it’s expected to come to Windows 8.1 soon.
Onedrive will also allow users to drag folders directly into OneDrive.com from browsers, but only where folder dragging/dropping is supported.
