Mellanox Technologies, a supplier of connectivity system for data center servers and storage, and Teranetics, a provider of silicon products, have introduced ConnectX ENt, a fully integrated dual-port 10GBASE-T adapter card.
According to Mellanox, the ConnectX ENt dual-port adapter card for PCIe 2.0 (up to 5.0GT/s) delivers high-throughput, low-latency, and high availability with low power to accelerate today’s data center.
ConnectX ENt supports advanced virtualization acceleration features such as NetQueue and SR-IOV and I/O consolidation fabrics with data center bridging fabric enhancements and fiber channel over ethernet.
John Monson, vice president of marketing at Mellanox, said: Mellanox’s ConnectX EN family of 10 gigabit ethernet adapter cards provides IT managers with interface flexibility, optimal performance and a common software platform to support increasing data center application requirements and IT growth, while maintaining management simplicity and scalability. ConnectX ENt brings power- and cost-optimized UTP (unshielded twisted pair) connectivity for 10Gb ethernet to mainstream data center servers and storage devices.
