Dotcom was granted bail in late February with severe restrictions including no internet access and devices that have internet capability.
He was arrested in January after authorities, which included the FBI, shut down Megaupload for online piracy. U.S prosecutors accused the site of inflicting copyright holders with losses in revenue of over $500m. Dotcom argued that his company simply offered online storage to users.

Kim Dotcom was originally declared a flight risk due to his large amounts of cash and several false identities. However, the founder was declared less of flight risk in late February after his funds were seized.
On Monday, Judge Harvey ruled that Dotcom can have access to the internet again as well has travelling twice a week to a studio in Auckland to finish a music album Dotcom is making, according to Associated Press.
In August Dotcom will have a hearing to decide whether he will be extradited for trial to the U.S.
The founder has said that he would fight his possible extradition to the United States.
