McAfee and CommVault have unveiled an integrated data and security management application to manage security and to include data and network protection.
The companies have integrated CommVault Simpana enterprise data management software suite and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) centralised management platform to provide information regarding the status of protected data managed by CommVault Simpana software.
The companies said that using a built-in connector from CommVault, event information related to backup status could be shared within a custom McAfee ePO dashboard to produce reports and help administrators to monitor multiple systems at the same time.
With the McAfee-CommVault application, end users could now manage security risk and data backup, recovery, and archive from a single console to enable customers to take decision about data integrity, security, and protection status.
The companies also claimed that the new integrated application would support customers by improving protection and lowering the total cost of ownership.
