Maxthon, a provider of apps access and widgets on Android Market, has unveiled a new dimension to mobile life with the launch of Maxthon Mobile for Android phones, which pairs with WebKit-based mobile browser with Maxthon’s cloud services.
Building on Maxthon’s existing desktop cloud browsing services, Maxthon Mobile leverages the Android platform featuring easy syncing of settings, favourites and history from desktop to device and beyond; touch-screen browsing; multi-tabbed browsing; error-correcting downloader; and RSS reader, the company said.
Maxthon CEO Jeff Chen said Maxthon mobile was designed from the ground up to meet sharing and communication needs of mobile phone users.
"Maxthon Mobile is based on R&D that has created an core product integrating Android and WebKit technology. Without sacrificing anything the Web has to offer, Maxthon Mobile makes getting to and using the Internet easier and faster for the mobile use," Chen said.
Maxthon Mobile works with Android phones made by HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Acer, Panasonic, and Dell. It works with services such as Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps with Navigation, Voice Actions, Google Voice and Youtube.
