MarketLive launches mobile eCommerce application

Allows retailers to reach shoppers across PCs, smartphones and Apple iPad

MarketLive, an eCommerce software and service provider for midsized specialty retailers, has launched a mobile eCommerce application Mobile v2, which allows retailers to reach shoppers across touch points including PC, smartphone and now the Apple iPad.

The company claims that Mobile v2, built on MarketLive Intelligent Commerce platform, enables retailers to touch consumers whenever and wherever they may be, across any device they choose.

According to MarketLive, the application provides a means for retailers to deliver relevant offers, promotions and products and can leverage a single administration console, product catalog, content engine, customer database, promotion engine, and personalisation tool.

In addition, the new app features, device optimisation; cross-channel analytics; access to product information such as video, reviews and cross-sell and up-sell suggestions via merchant-defined product codes; and facilitates merchants to offer complete assortment, size and delivery options on the mobile device and showcase a complete set of related products.

MarketLive said that its eCommerce application allows retail sites to be Apple iPad enabled automatically upon site launch. It also enables retailers to track customer activity across all device types, analyse trends, customer preferences and to offer time- and location-based promotions that are designed specifically for user type.
