Development and maintenance of the IT applications

By CBR Staff Writer

A consortium led by Logica, with Sopra as co-contractor, has signed a technological applications contract valued €40m with the Directorate General of Public Finance (DGFiP).

Under the four-year agreement, Logica will become DGFiP’s exclusive partner for all new technological projects in the financial domain including online platform for filing individual tax returns; and the development and maintenance of the IT applications.

Logica said that the applications used for DGFiP contract will be based on service oriented architecture (SOA) and executed in an open environment, such as Java/J2EE and PHP.

Logica in France CEO Jean-Marc Lazzari said the company has joined forces with the tax authorities for delivering a better service to citizens while also providing greater control over public spending.
