Liquidware Labs, a provider of desktop assessment, migration, and user experience monitoring, has launched a virtual user management and migration offering ProfileUnity that deliver user-based provisioning of VMware ThinApp virtualised applications to virtual and physical desktops.
The ProfileUnity, combined with the integration of application deployment, user entitlement and license tracking, enables VMware ThinApp users to implement application delivery to specific user profiles and track license usage in a less time.
ProfileUnity can deploy, cache, and remove applications virtualised by VMware ThinApp to physical desktops, laptops, or virtual machines, regardless of connection state, the company said.
ProfileUnity 4.7 enables IT administrators to deploy VMware ThinApp applications in an online mode or an offline mode to select users, PCs, laptops, or virtual machines.
Applications can be delivered to users through the use of filters based on individual user names, network location, organisation units, security groups, building, branch, office location, and other variables.
Liquidware Labs additionally offers features for assessment and planning of migrating physical applications to virtualised applications.
Liquidware Labs founder J. Tyler Rohrer said their release of ProfileUnity with added VMware ThinApp support is for partners and users that have yearned for a simple, cost-effective offering for deploying applications to physical desktops and laptops the same day that they’re virtualised with VMware ThinApp.
