LIGATT Security International, a high-tech cyber security company, has launched LocatePC Mobile Tracker iPhone application.
According to the company, the new application enables users to track their stolen or lost computer from a secure website directly using iPhone, and shortly; the iPad.
According to the company, users can now avail two additional ways, with which they can maintain the status of their lost or stolen device.
The user has to first login to the secure LocatePC site where the user will have access to utilise all the features of LocatePC, including the option to track the computer.
After the first step, the user will have the capability to track their lost or stolen computer from their iPhone or iPad using LocatePC Mobile Tracker.
Users of free LocatePC Mobile Tracker will be able to track unlimited computers on one account directly from their iPhone; shutdown the computer while the thief still has it; and turn on their computer camera and take snaps shots of the thief.
They can also turn on a keylogger and record everything the thief types; send a message to their computer screen of whatever they would like, such as "please return my computer".
LIGATT Security CEO Gregory Evans said they are first in the world to enable a person to track a computer right from their cell phone.
