Liaison Technologies, a provider of business-to-business integration and data management services, has launched Contivo Vocabulary Management Solution 4.0 and Contivo Chameleon.
Liaison said that the Contivo Vocabulary Management is a patented and design-time semantic integration technology that simplifies the data integration process by enabling the migration of maps and business logic from legacy electronic data interchange (EDI) translators to an open and portable format.
Liaison also said that Contivo helps reduce the reliance on a particular business-to-business (b2b)/ enterprise application integration (EAI) platform vendor with a central, semantics-based metadata repository that offers version control and patented algorithms for collaborative design and execution.
According to Liaison, Contivo Chameleon simplifies the data integration process by enabling the migration of maps and business logic from legacy EDI translators to an open and portable format. Users of the Contivo Chameleon product will be able to automate the conversion of maps maintained in legacy translators, thereby minimizing effort and cost associated with such conversations. This new capability also allows clients to begin to take advantage of both Java and XSLT.
Bruce Chen, chief technology officer of Liaison Technologies, said: With mapping costs accounting for 40% or more of b2b integration projects, companies are often locked into aging and proprietary EDI translators, b2b platforms and EAI software due to the high cost of migration and specifically re-mapping. Contivo 4.0 and Contivo Chameleon allows companies to break through previously prohibitive switching barriers and enable unprecedented portability and choice for integration solutions and services.
