Liaison releases Electronic Commerce Server for enterprises

Support for non-Windows platforms

By CBR Staff Writer

Liaison Technologies, a provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and offerings, has released its Electronic Commerce Server (ECS) for enterprise application and business-to-business integration.

Liaison ECS 6.3 features support for non-Windows platforms for the service core and Managed File Transfers (MFTs) along with the addition of an FTP Server.

Enterprise customers can now deploy ECS on existing non-Windows platforms such as on Linux or UNIX servers, giving the IT department more flexibility as to where the service can be deployed.

In addition to support for FTP, SFTP and FTP/S protocols for data transfer, the addition of an FTP Server in ECS allows customers and partners to push files to ECS over FTP.

Liaison Technologies director of Software Development Robert Fox said with this new release, they’ve improved upon its versatility to allow customers more choices in where they host their platform, and how customers can configure their enterprise application or business-to-business integration communications based either on their trading partners’ requirements or their own.

The upgraded ECS provides support for the Applicability Statement for Secure Health Transport, a fundamental part of the National Health Information Network (NHIN) Direct initiative; and additional enablement features for Contivo, Liaison’s design-time semantic integration technology for enterprise data integration.

ECS supports industry prevalent communications protocols, including S/MIME, AS1, AS2, AS3 and SOAP/SwA, to move all types of data into, out of and across the enterprise.
