Bi-directional search functionality to retrieve indexing data from databases

By CBR Staff Writer

Kyocera Mita America has launched version 5.0 of its server-based document capture workflow system, KYOcapture. Reportedly, working in synchronisation with the company’s colour and black and white multifunctional products (MFPs), KYOcapture allows organisations to capture, process and route their paper and electronic-based documents to virtually any document management system.

The company said that KYOcapture, is an open-architecture middleware which serves as a gateway for documents to be stored, shared, searched or retrieved throughout the network to allow end-users to access the information when required.

According to Kyocera Mita, the enhancements for KYOcapture 5.0 version include: customisable user interface for an improved end-user workflow designing experience, improved bi-directional search functionality to retrieve indexing data from databases and browse folder across the network, secure SSL encryption and user authentication, enhanced connectivity with complementing applications, including CutCom’s SentryFile document management software.

Akisa Matsuda, director of software solutions at Kyocera Mita America, said: “KYOcapture is an essential enterprise office solution that provides MFP users with reliable and secure workflow processing capabilities to promote the electronic capture, processing and routing of critical information.
