Kynetx integrates with Amazon eCommerce API

To expand distribution model of Amazon products

By CBR Staff Writer

Kynetx has integrated with the Amazon eCommerce API, to facilitate fundamentally different distribution models for Amazon Products.

The company said that the integration enables developers to create apps that leverage both the context-sensitive, cloud-based Kynetx platform and Amazon eCommerce data to sell relevant Amazon products across any URL or web-enabled device.

The new development enables developers to make their applications more powerful while increasing the revenue their Amazon affiliate partnership provides. Based on customer context, applications created on the Kynetx Platform can offer Amazon listings that are suitable to consumer interests and requirements. As a user moves from site to site, researching films, the app would serve up Amazon inventory for purchase based on that context, the company said.

According to Kynetx, the app would provide support for Amazon’s Signature Version 2 with authenticated REST requests, allowing developers to create browser extensions that use Amazon data without exposing the developers’ access credentials. KRL understands Amazon’s Advertising API ItemSearch and ItemLookup operations through the JSON interface.

Stephen Fulling, CEO of Kynetx, said: “With this integration, we open the door for any developer to create new channels, apps and revenue models that marry Amazon inventory data with other context in a secure, seamless way.

“And because Kynetx apps can touch the customer anywhere they choose-on any site, smart phone, platform, or browser–developers can invent entirely new forms of commerce, communication and experience on the web in a fast and flexible way.”
