Integrated multi-channel bancassurance group KBC has selected Atos Worldline, an Atos the specialised transactional service, to process its electronic payment transactions and its clients until the end of 2016.

The collaboration involves the processing of payment transactions for merchants and cardholders and providing services related to the issuance of payment cards.

In addition, the collaboration will also include services for the online management of KBC-guaranteed cheques.

KBC Group Payments senior general manager Bart Guns said, "With this contract, KBC is opting for the continuation of the services by a very robust and reliable supplier of transaction services and a partner who is constantly striving for innovation."

Atos Worldline Benelux CEO Willy Walraeve said the collaboration will enable cardholders and traders who are clients of KBC to continue to enjoy secure electronic payments.

"Through the expertise of Atos Worldline, KBC can be certain both of a further expansion of services and a smooth switchover to Bancontact/Mister Cash in a unified European payments market," said Walraeve.

Atos Worldline provides electronic payment services including issuing, acquiring, terminals, and card and non-card payment solutions & processing, eServices for customers as well as services for financial markets.
