Kaspersky introduces Security for Virtualisation

Offers customers a unified management, security platform across all their environments

By CBR Staff Writer

Kaspersky Lab will introduce a new security service for businesses, Kaspersky Security for Virtualisation, which is designed to help companies gain from virtualisation with no security risks.

Kaspersky said the new service will integrate with VMware’s vShield Endpoint to provide virtual IT infrastructures with centralised anti-malware security featuring Kaspersky Lab’s technology.

With the new security package, Kaspersky Lab will be able to offer customers a single, unified management and security platform across all their environments.

Using the vShield Endpoint Security framework, the Kaspersky Security for Virtualisation will automatically detect, scan, protect and update every virtual machine on the network, including virtual data centres, servers and desktops.

Kaspersky Lab Europe executive vice-president Ilijana Vavan said virtualisation is a vitally important and transformational technology that offers many business benefits, but can open up new vulnerabilities that leave a company exposed to cybercrime and malicious attacks.
