Russian computer security company Kaspersky Lab has released Maintenance Pack 1 for Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers.

Maintenance Pack 1 provides full support for the Database Availability Group, a technology introduced in Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, and reduces administration time by introducing centralised management, reporting and backup functionality.

The Kaspersky Lab’s new corporate e-mail security offering brings delivers efficient protection from spam and supports the cloud-based Kaspersky Security Network, a new Enforced Anti-Spam Updates Service, and a new Dashboard for real-time monitoring and full support for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Database Availability Group technology.

Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Exchange Servers reportedly ensures protection from malware and spam for corporate e-mail servers based on Microsoft Exchange.

The new offering is part of the Kaspersky Open Space Security product range, which also contains other efficient packages for different parts of corporate IT infrastructure, including those for protecting mail and file servers and endpoints.

By introducing a method of rapid distribution of anti-spam database updates, Maintenance Pack 1 allows to react to and block any spam outbreak faster than ever.
