Kapow Technologies, a provider of web data services, has released a new version of Web Data Server, which provides enterprise users with web data access, usability and control.
The company said that the Kapow Web Data Server 7.2 allows organisations to effectively build, test and deploy web data feeds and services for new applications, offering real-time, actionable business intelligence.
The new offering provides automation and real-time data access capabilities that allow companies to slash application and data integration project timelines and costs by tenfold. It empowers IT and line of business users to modernise their information applications and save time and resources in the process, the company claims.
According to Kapow, the new version includes features such as, Design Studio that provides a single integrated development environment (IDE) for users to develop, test, deploy and manage their web data services robots; Data Viewer that allows users to see collected data within Design Studio and load directly in Microsoft Excel; native XML Support; and FTP and File System Interaction that provides direct access and integration to FTP directories.
The new offering also includes converters to XML, JSON and CSV formats, improved database functionality, enhanced production monitoring and more than 50 additional improvements that enhance the robot development, deployment and management experience. It also includes updates to Kapow’s browser and Javascript engine to handle web sources driven by AJAX, Google Web Toolkit and more, the company said.
In addition, the improvements in browser-based management and scheduling console include production monitoring and notifications, and new logging functionality for databases, Log4J and e-mail. FTP integration also provides users with direct access to secure FTP, eliminating barriers to data access and simplifying integration with enterprise tools, Kapow said.
