Juniper Networks expands SRX series

To provide security platform to deploy additional security services seamlessly

By CBR Staff Writer

Juniper Networks, engaged in high-performance networking, has expanded its SRX series with the SRX3000 line of extensible networking and security products that run on Junos software, a single source network operating system integrating routing, switching and security services.

Juniper Networks SRX3000 line provides a security platform for organisations seeking to deploy additional security services without affecting system performance.

Ideal for data centre, enterprise, public sector and service provider environments, the SRX3000 line delivers the flexibility, security, scalability, operational simplicity and reliability required by high-performance businesses to deploy next-generation services, said Juniper Networks.

As the only services gateways to deliver price/performance network security and enable both low Capex and low long-term Opex investments, the SRX3400 and SRX3600 can reduce network complexity and lower total cost of ownership by up to 65%. At the same time, they can reduce both power consumption and needed rack space by up to 80% versus existing security solutions, the company added.

Douglas Murray, vice president and general manager for high-end security systems at Juniper Networks, said: The SRX3000 represents Juniper’s continued commitment to provide the industry’s most innovative and cost-effective security products. The SRX3400 and SRX3600 improve performance while overcoming the tradeoffs prevalent in security products today.
