Juniper Networks has introduced the Junos Pulse App for the iPad, which enables anytime, anywhere secure remote access and connectivity to all enterprise resources.
The Junos Pulse App for the iPad is part of Juniper’s Junos Pulse platform and is build on its SA Series SSL VPN offering that already enables approximately 25 million end users to remotely and securely connect their devices, including laptops and smartphones, to corporate networks.
Further, to provide secure connectivity for the iPad and Apple iOS, Junos Pulse also offers security for Android, Blackberry, Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems.
Juniper Networks access and acceleration business unit service layer technologies business group vice president and general manager Sanjay Beri said their customers have started to deploy iPads to enable the productivity of their mobile workforce.
"Juniper’s Junos Pulse App for iPad now provides the level of security customers require, removing the main barrier to enterprise adoption and organisations can now have peace of mind that their mobile workforce is secure whether they are using laptops, smartphones or tablets," Beri said.
The company said that the customers currently using SSL VPN offering can begin deploying the new offering immediately to their global workforce.
The Junos Pulse App for the iPad is also available for free download on iOS 4.2 from the Apple iTunes App Store New Window.
