Enhancement to the application will ensure security of both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols

By CBR Staff Writer

Networking application provider Juniper Networks enhanced its vGW Virtual Gateway application which claimed provide a scalable platform for large enterprises who are seeking a secure, virtualised infrastructure while having tighter control, security and compliance.

Enhancement to the application will ensure security of both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols allowing the enterprises and service providers to offer efficient and secure services to their customers.

In addition, the company is providing a new Cloud API and software developer’s kits (SDKs) which will help in automating security configuration resulting in cost saving as well as allow cloud service providers to offer their customers better security controls in a virtual environment.

Enhancement to vGW will offer firewall enforcement and policy administration for IPv6 either alone or, optionally while it will offer flexible and efficient way to protect traffic with IPv4.
Automation:

With the vGW Cloud API and SDK, businesses will be able to create customised portals that provide their customers with self-service access to VM and security provisioning on an on-demand basis.

Management enhancement to the vGW will facilitate security for large-scale multi-tenant cloud deployments by offering more granular and customisable security segmentation.

It will allow service providers to scale their VM hosting service ensuring enhanced automation and security.
