Juniper introduces Junos Pulse Mobile Security Suite

Security and secure connectivity for virtually all mobile devices

By CBR Staff Writer

Juniper Networks has introduced the Junos Pulse Mobile Security Suite, a security software for protecting mobile devices and defending users mobile life.

The company said that the new mobile security suite is part of its Junos Pulse platform and is an integrated offering that provides both security and secure connectivity for virtually all mobile devices, regardless of platform.

The mobile security software suite includes anti-virus, personal firewall, anti-spam, loss and theft prevention, and monitoring and control services, and enables enterprises to provide employees secure access to corporate applications and e-mail on mobile devices.

Juniper has also opened a new Global Threat and Research Center, in Columbus, Ohio, to provide around-the-clock, global monitoring of mobile security threats to consumers and enterprises.

The new facility is dedicated to track, respond and research threats to mobile devices, including viruses, spyware and other security vulnerabilities that can expose a user’s personal, professional and sensitive information.

Juniper Networks service layer technologies business group executive vice president and general manager Mark Bauhaus said it’s no secret that personal mobile devices are quickly becoming the de facto means for access to corporate networks, making them one of the most valuable, but also most vulnerable portals to sensitive personal and professional information.
