iTKO, a provider of virtualisation and validation offerings for enterprise cloud applications, said that it is teaming with IBM on a new service to help businesses develop, test and deploy applications either on-premise or in a cloud.

According to iTKO, the new service combines its LISA Virtualize, Test, Validate and Pathfinder application software with IBM Global Business Services consulting to speed up application deployment, without tapping into critical computing resources.

In addition, IBM Application Virtualization Services are available for on-premise deployment, and will be available later this year on an IBM Cloud.

iTKO said that the new service allows clients to run applications in a virtual environment to reduce operational costs; simulate a production environment to test new applications without creating new workloads on existing systems; and deploy multiple test environments for each development and test team to boost productivity.

The company claims that the LISA product suite eliminates application development constraints using virtual service environments, optimises discovery and resolution of coding defects, and improves test automation and validation for enterprise applications.

Shridhar Mittal, CEO of iTKO, said: “IBM Global Services is a market leader in helping enterprise IT organizations deliver software faster and more efficiently. iTKO and IBM will take the joint offering to customers in the financial services, telecommunication, energy, retail, and travel industries leveraging the IBM Cloud.”
