Iron Mountain, an information management services company, has unveiled an updated CloudRecovery offering for Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM), which allows Microsoft DPM customers to automatically protect their business data for short-and long-term, and off-site storage.
The new release includes support for DPM 2010 along with continued support for DPM 2007 with Service Pack 1, multi-terabyte scalability and new options for additional data protection.
According to Iron Mountain, CloudRecovery provides customers the ability to restore the DPM SQL Server database in addition to DPM data. Other new options include, an on-site Iron Mountain TurboRestore appliance with Data Shuttle services for backing up and restoring data, allowing customers to ship an appliance for sending and receiving large volumes of data without burdening their networks.
Iron Mountain provides information management offerings, which address data protection, archiving, compliance and eDiscovery requirements for Microsoft platforms including Windows 7, Server 2008, Exchange, SharePoint, and System Center. They are available as on-premise, cloud and hybrid offerings.
