IQMS, a provider of ERP software, has launched Signature Capture, a new application that employs electronic tablets to store hand written signatures within the ERP system and allows companies to track transactions across the enterprise and supply chain.
IQMS said that the new application can be used in all areas of the ERP system. It allows customers to use an electronic tablet to store signatures as part of Bill of Lading (BOL) documents within the company’s ERP software, EnterpriseIQ.
The company’s automation group has developed the new application to provide a secure way to obtain and store hand written signature releases within the ERP system. The new application works by converting signatures for storage in the database as an attachment to the BOL documents. If the bill is reprinted or viewed at a later time, the signature is part of the document.
Randy Flamm, president and founder of IQMS, said: “IQMS Signature Capture highlights our development agility as well as our ability to listen to what our customers want. This is another great application from our automation group, which keeps close tabs on customer needs and industry trends.”
Earlier in June, the company has released its RackTruck inventory management application that combines inventory scanning, forklift mounted monitors and stocking location mapping for manufacturers.
