INUS signs new OEM agreement with Scansystems

Scansystems licensed Rapidform.dll provided by INUS Technology

By CBR Staff Writer

INUS Technology, a South Korea-based developer of 3D scan data processing software, has entered into a new OEM agreement with Scansystems, an Italy-based manufacturer of optical measuring system.

Scansystems has licensed Rapidform.dll, provided by INUS Technology, to add 3D point handling functions within its 3D data handling applications. Rapidform.dll supports 3D scan data processing, point cloud handling and mesh optimisation and manual and automated surface generation, all within an integrated framework.

Additionally, Scansystems has entered into an OEM agreement with INUS Technology to supply the Rapidform XO products (XOS, XOR, XOV) to improve the utility of the ScanProbe scanner series and offer Scansystems’s customers both 3G modeling (i.e. native CAD models directly from scan data) from XOR and CAD friendly Inspection capabilities from XOV.

Calvin Hur, senior vice president of marketing and global sales for INUS Technology, said: I’m pleased that ScanSystems has joined the multitude of OEMs in our Rapidform Partner Success programme. This programme has enabled Scansystems and other subscribers to incorporate advanced point, mesh and surface components into their respective applications.

The combination of the ScanProbe scanners with both Rapidform.dll, and with our standard products, Rapidform XOS, XOR and XOV, brings best-in-class reverse-engineering and dimensional inspection functions to Scansystems’ customers in aerospace, automotive, electronics, education, footwear, cultural heritage and healthcare fields.
