Internet Explorer 11 preview unveiled

Microsoft offers completely rebuilt F12 developer tools.

By CBR Staff Writer

Microsoft has unveiled Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) Preview alongside the launch of Microsoft 8.1 Preview.

Microsoft said on its blog that IE11 browser provides an enhanced touch performance, quicker page load times, and completely rebuilt F12 developer tools.

IE11 adds support for accessing tabs open across devices, kept in sync through the cloud with SkyDrive to facilitate users to continue their browsing from one Windows device to the next.

“IE11 makes browsing more responsive by prioritising work and by pre-fetching content in the background,” said Microsoft Internet Explorer corporate VP Dean Hachamovitch.

The new browser also promises faster typing with site suggestions, including direct links to site sections, Bing search suggestions, and suggested Windows Store apps.

A new option to always show tabs and address bar makes for faster, easier access with the mouse or finger, the software maker said.

Other features of this browser include: live tiles for sites, permanent tabs, webgl support, infinite tabs, multi-window (snap) browsing and favorites centre.
